Continuing the onslaught of fan pleasing antics following the official announcement of Gears of War 3 yesterday, Epic Games has released an official wallpaper for fans of the series to download and set as their desktop background. Gears of War 3 is the highly-anticipated third instalment in the Gears of War videogame franchise, and is set to arrive next Spring.

Along with the official announcement of Gears of War 3, we’ve received the Gears of War 3: Ashes to Ashes trailer Electronic Theatre Imageand the first batch of official screenshots. The new Wallpaper addition to the asset line-up features the redesigned Gears of War logo as part of the official artwork for Gears of War 3.

The Wallpaper has been released in only one size, 1920x180 pixels, but can easily be scaled to fit most visual setups. To download the Wallpaper, simply right click on the thumbnail below and select “Save Target As…” (Internet Explorer). Gears of War 3 is set for release across Europe on 8th April 2010, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details
